My iPad Review

As with all Apple products, the packaging of the iPad was awesome. Nice and clean and very “minimalist”-like. When I turned it on, I found the iPad was already 100% charged. I then sync’d with my iTunes and everything transferred over seamlessly, including the apps.

I had to find which apps had an iPad version and reinstalled those and deleted the iPhone version. Not all apps are made for the iPad yet. Among them Facebook and eBay. I’m sure they will be coming out very soon.

Amazon Kindle was full-screen on the iPad and looks great for reading books though I haven’t read a book yet. 2 apps that I found incredible are Netflix and the ABC Player. With Netflix I was able to watch a movie immediately and when Stuart wanted to join me, we switched to our bigger screen television and resumed playing the movie from there. The ABC Player allowed me to watch some shows I missed out on during the week (I only watch 2 shows, Lost and Grey’s Anatomy) and at the convenience of being in a comfy chair without lugging around my MacBook. This is just the tip of what the iPad is doing to revolutionize entertainment.

Overall, I am loving the convenience and technology that the iPad has to offer. Now I’m in search of the perfect iPad case / cover. I’ll blog about that another time.

I was gonna wait until version 2 :-) .  Also, HP bought Palm to go against the iPad.  HP actually had the iPad concept first, hardware wise but was running windows on it. :-(

Keep us posted, Apple Queen.  I think you just officially took that title from Ann!
Make sure you bring that thing to the party this weekend.
